How does one become friends with an ex when you're still in love with him? I want to be friends with him so that we can get close again and maybe things will spark again. Good tips? How to be friends with your ex?
You cannot be friends with an ex when you are still in love with him. It is impossible. I understand what you are hoping will happen but unless you are made of ice you will be hurt over and over again when you are around him because you still love him. You will take every little gesture and wear yourself out wondering if it means he wants you back or, worse, he will break your heart all over again when he does or says things that show he is no longer in to you. He will also start to see through it because, again, unless you are made of ice you will have reactions around him that will show him you still love him and he may be very uncomfortable with that. The best you can do is make a clean break, grieve the loss of this relationship and eventually move on.
