well, things go wrong before. and you were angry at him or her for things they did to you. you moved on. but .... he or she still wants to be friends with you, would you?How many of u could be friends with your ex, when he or she did u wrong before?
i could still be cordial, but i dont know if we could be friends. often we use the word 'friends' to liberally.
